In a recent interview, Kanika was asked about the ‘defensive stand’ taken by her and Taapsee against negative reviews. She claimed she was not opposed to unfavorable reviews, but would not stand for it if critics started doing ‘in person reviews’.
“Nothing like that. Please pick up my timeline, there are a lot of reviews that are not favorable but they are written in such a great way. It’s called (movie/characters) reviews, but if you start reviewing that person If you do, why would I take it? I would outright reject it! If you don’t like a film, it’s your opinion and as filmmakers, we respect different views, but keep it up front. There is a way to. And there is a dignity in crossing it. Let’s not lose dignity,” she told Mashable.
