Made-in-India action game FAU-G finally gets its first multiplayer mode in the form of team deathmatch or TDM as the gaming community refers to it. After being teased by developer Ncore Games, the mode is finally available in beta for download on Google Play for Android devices. The FAU-G TDM download size is around 300MB.
It consists of a single map, known as Bazaar, which is set in a fictional city in Rajasthan known as Udaighat, Ncore tells us. It’s inspired by Jaisalmer Fort and markets around Udaipur and Jaipur. We spent some quality time with a pre-release build and you can check out our impressions right here as well as gameplay footage below this paragraph.
The company is also using FAU-G’s Bazaar map to include posters with messaging relevant to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
“Our aim was to present a map which most of our audience could relate to,” says Ganesh Hande, Ncore Games Co-Founder and COO to IGN India. “And at the same time use our platform to create awareness around Covid-19 safe behaviour around masking and getting vaccinated.”
With the single-player release of FAU-G crossing 8 million downloads, it’s obvious that Ncore’s game has struck a chord with an audience in the country. The studio has made it abundantly clear that this is far from the final version of the game and its obvious with the limited weapon choices, loadouts, and the solitary aforementioned Bazaar map.
It’ll be interesting to see how many players gravitate towards FAU-G’s multiplayer offering. The core gameplay appears to focus more on skill than anything else what with a shorter TTK (time to kill — a game design term defined as the average amount of time to defeat an enemy in a firefight) versus other mobile shooters at the moment.
